some life events:I remember when my beautiful grandma wanted my aunt to find something for her, but she couldn’t tell her what it was or where it was. My Aunt calmly kept searching, high and low and when grandma got frustrated she said, I’m sorry mom I know it’s my fault. I can’t find it. 🥺
She ended up finding a glass jar full of coins, and Gram gifted it to her brother that had come to visit her. 😭🥰

My Dad used to say…”Kayters,I built 3 multimillion dollar car companies. and now nimble lucky to put a sentence together. My dad always loved chocolate chip cookies early on in his Alzheimer’s. I knew it would shattered my world if he didn’t recognize me. So every weekend that I came over there, I brought chocolate to cookies period when I walked in the door I said, hey cakers, is here.I got two chocolate to cookies! I pray that I don’t look at my daughter 1 day and not know who she is.
God bless them all

Unfortunately, when you are the exhausted sole carer to someone with Alzheimer’s whilst working full time as well, it is possible to forget to be everything this poem says you should be, no matter how good your intentions are.
