THE eerie call a pregnant woman made before she allegedly deliberately crashed her car into a tree, putting her boyfriend in a coma, has been revealed.
Daniel Waterman, 22, was left in a months-long coma, where he woke up and accused his pregnant girlfriend of purposefully crashing her car in an attempt to kill him.
Sarah Stappenbeck, Waterman’s cousin, took the stand on the first day of Mumby’s trial on Tuesday, where she detailed the day of the crash, including phone calls Mumby made to her shortly before.
That morning, Mumby came out of the bathroom holding a positive pregnancy test, Stappenbeck testified.
“She expressed the concerns of Daniel talking to other girls, and said that she wasn’t going to let Daniel cheat on her,” Stappenbeck said.
