Ungrateful world leaders start saying ‘thank you’ real fast when the money stops flowing!

An ungrateful person can become grateful. In fact, many formerly ungrateful people have learnt the art of gratitude. Gratitude is a spirit that is cultivated; it is a skill to be learnt, a habit that is to be formed.

There is, however, no one-size-fits-all strategy to help ungrateful people get transformed into gratitude practitioners. The events that are capable of making A learn gratitude may be different from those that can impact B. Some people learn to be grateful for privileges only when they lose or nearly lose the privileges. Others are able to learn when they come in contact with others that are deprived of the privileges. The number of times that each persson needs to encounter situations that are capable of learning gratitude differs from others, too. Direct teaching and reprimands from significant others can also contribute to the behaviour modification required, too.

Consequently, no one can predict how long it will take for a person to learn gratitude.
