Packed brown sugar 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Quick cooking oats 3 cups
Semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup
Peanut butter 1/2 cup
How To Make No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars:
Step 1: Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9ร—9-inch square baking pan.
Step 2: Cook the Oats: Melt 1 cup butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix in the 3 cups quick cooking oats and cook over low heat for 2โ€“3 minutes, until the mixture is well blended and slightly toasted.
Step 3: Press Base: Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Reserve the other half for the topping.
Step 4: Make the Filling: In a small saucepan, melt the 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the pressed oat base.
Step 5: Top It Off: Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer, pressing down gently (do not press hard).
Step 6: Chill & Serve: Cover the pan and refrigerate for 2โ€“3 hours or overnight, until the bars are completely set. Let the bars come slightly closer to room temperature before cutting into squares and serving.
