Rolf Buchholz, a 62-year-old man from Germany, is internationally recognized for his dedication to body modification. Holding two Guinness World Records—most body modifications (male) and most piercings (male)—his appearance reflects decades of carefully chosen changes that represent personal meaning and self-expression.
A Personal Journey in Body Art
Rolf’s body modification journey began with small tattoos and piercings, driven by an interest in the art form rather than any desire for public attention. Over time, his interest developed into a lifelong passion. Today, he has over 500 modifications, which include subdermal implants, tattoos covering much of his body, and various piercings.
One of the most well-known aspects of his appearance includes forehead implants and black-inked eyes—modifications that are uncommon but meaningful to him. According to interviews, Rolf’s motivation has always been rooted in individuality.
