A heartwarming and courageous story has emerged, showcasing the bravery of Chase Poust, a seven-year-old boy who became the hero of his family after a frightening waterside incident. The event took place on Memorial Day weekend, May 28th, near Mandarin Point on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida.Chase was out boating with his father, Steven, and his four-year-old sister, Abigail, planning for a relaxing day of fishing and swimming. However, their day took a terrifying turn when the river’s current proved much stronger than expected.

While swimming near the anchored boat, little Abigail, who was wearing a life jacket, was pulled away from the vessel by the forceful current. Seeing his sister drift further from safety, Chase sprang into action.
