🐝 What to Do After a Bee Sting on the Skin

If you’ve been stung by a bee, stay calm and act quickly:

1. Remove the stinger as soon as possible by gently scraping it out.
2. Wash the area with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection.
3. Apply a cold compress for 10–20 minutes to help reduce swelling and pain.
4. Avoid scratching the area, even if it becomes itchy.
5. An antihistamine may help with itching and swelling.

⚠️ Watch for signs of a serious allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, widespread hives, dizziness, vomiting, or fainting.

🚨 If these symptoms occur, seek emergency medical help immediately. A severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) can become life-threatening very quickly.
