Veteran Support: ‘Survivor’ Season 43 Winner Donates $1 Million

If you have ever watched a season of Survivor, you realize that there are a lot of twists and turns along the way. Some of them are to be expected, but there are some that still take us by surprise.
It’s hard to believe that there have been 43 seasons of Survivor, and this season had a surprise twist at the end. That season, which ended in December 2022, showed a 52-year-old heart valve specialist winning the prize.

Mike Gabler, the $1 million prize winner, decided to do something special with it. In doing so, he really changed the course of the show for many people.
In speaking with the host and the other contestants, he said:
“There are people who need that money more. And I’m going to donate the entire prize – the entire million dollar prize, in my father’s name, Robert Gabler, who was a Green Beret – to veterans in need who are recovering from psychiatric problems,
PTSD, and curb the suicide epidemic.”
Nobody has ever done anything like this before on the show. He said that they are going to do something good and everyone on the show was involved in that moment in history.
